About the Diploma 
If you’re interested in how the electronic systems of an aeroplane work, then you’re just what the Diploma in Aerospace Electronics(AE) is looking for.
As an AE student, you will learn all about aircraft electronics (avionics), flight control systems, aircraft navigation and aircraft communications systems. You will work on exciting projects such as designing airships with GPS capabilities and smart electronic systems.
You can then put your knowledge and skills into practice with a six-month internship with aerospace and electronics industry leaders such as ST Aerospace, Eurocopter, Thales Aerospace and Rockwell Collins.
You may even get to participate in internships, overseas exchanges and research projects with Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University in the US, the world’s leading aviation and aerospace institution!

AE will also prepare you for modules in the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Airworthiness Requirements (SAR 66) examinations so that you can get your licence as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer much sooner!
What’s more, you can even consider a career in flying as our curriculum is aligned to the Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) ground examination requirements.
Further Studies As an AE grad, you will be able to pursue an avionics or aerospace-related degree at the Singapore Institute of Management or one of these overseas universities:
• Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (US)
• University of Bristol (UK)
• University of Bath (UK)
• Queensland University of Technology (Australia)
Alternatively, you can choose to pursue electrical, electronics and other related engineering degrees at both local and overseas universities.

Diploma Plus Programme
Students can opt to take additional modules from a wide range of clusters under the Diploma Plus Programme (DPP) to further enhance and/or broaden their knowledge in a variety of discipline-specific areas based on their interests and learning abilities. The Diploma Plus Certificate may give students a better standing for university enrolments and increase their employability in discipline-specific areas.
Students can choose the DPP clusters from the range listed below. The offer of a DPP cluster is subject to the condition that the minimum class size is met and is based on available vacancies.
Engineering ClustersNon-engineering Clusters
*  The syllabus is based on the ‘A’ Level H2 Pure Mathematics syllabus. In consultation with NUS, NP graduates who have successfully completed the revised CAEM will be granted exemption from the NUS’ MA1301 Proficiency Test.
^  DPP cluster will not be offered to students taking the Minor in Business Management



Engineering students can also pursue Diploma Plus Certificates in Business, Innovation Management, and Languages (Japanese).

About the Diploma       
Want to learn how aircraft are designed for flight? Enrol in our Diploma in AerospaceTechnology (AT) and find out!

You will study the major aerospace disciplines ranging from aircraft structures and systems aircraft stability and control. This will equip you with the skills and knowledge to be part of a team that certifies aircraft like the Boeing 777 for flight.

Diploma Plus Programme and Elective Modules
To complete the diploma, students have to take two elective modules and they can choose these from the engineering and non-engineering clusters. To qualify for a Diploma Plus Certificate, students just need to complete a total of four elective modules, with three from the same cluster. The Diploma Plus will better prepare students for university education and widen their career opportunities.
